Idadiv Participates in the Miracle Makeover Project

July 15, 2008

The credit union philosophy of “people helping people” is predominantly displayed in our most current community project.  We, along with five other Canyon County credit unions are proudly participating in what is being called “The Miracle Makeover” project.  Together we have raised over $2,500 to furnish two rooms in a brand new home for Joy Sams and her daughter, Erin.
What started out as a simple “Paint the Town” project has turned into a total home makeover.  The home on Rose Street in Boise has been completely demolished, reconstructed, and will be ready to move in by the July 25th reveal date.  All thanks to the generosity of local businesses.

Idadiv, along with Cornerstone, Mountain Gem, Valley Community, Simplot Employees, and Pioneer Federal Credit Union have graciously taken on the task of furnishing and decorating two of the three bedrooms in the new home.  Through the help of CHF Home Furnishings, both rooms will receive brand new furniture.  Erin’s room will be equipped with just what a 16 year old needs in her own space and style while the second bedroom will serve as a study/den/extra bedroom for the family.

More information about this wonderful community project can be found at www.miraclemakeover.blogspot.com . A complete list of donors as well as before and current pictures of the project are also listed there.
